The short version: Your data lives on your device. We don't have a server, we don't have a database, and we don't know who you are. Almost everything stays local. The only data that leaves your device is your conversation content — and any images you share — sent to third-party AI providers (currently xAI's Grok) to generate responses.

2. What Data We Collect

What stays on your device only:

• Onboarding answers (name, age, preferences)
• All chat messages and conversation history
• Relationship progress (affinity points, streaks, tier)
• Liked statuses and profile interactions
• AI-extracted memory facts from your conversations
• Subscription status (cached locally from Apple)

We have no backend. None of this data is transmitted to or stored by Hailee AI.

What leaves your device:

• Conversation messages and any images you share — sent to third-party AI providers (currently xAI's Grok) to generate AI responses.
  • Depending on the provider and the service plan we use, this content may be temporarily retained for processing and abuse monitoring, and in some cases used by the provider to improve their AI models.
• Subscription transactions — processed by Apple and managed by RevenueCat. Neither shares financial data with us.
• Anonymous usage analytics — event names and session data (e.g. "message sent", "paywall viewed") via Amplitude. No message content included.
• iCloud Key-Value Storage — progress data backed up via Apple's iCloud. apple.com/privacy
